To engage with a different age group, and as a different way of sharing the history of the Barracks to a wider audience online, the Trust commissioned local musician, Joe Brennan-Hulme who is known as Average Joe, to create two original songs.

Joe was given access to the voice recordings that had been done and from the recordings and the historical information in the history book, produced two original songs and short video filmed at the Barracks. The songs reference the military history of the Barracks and a solider writing home.
